Anyone wanting to learn or just play the game of tennis like any other game must be in the best possible shape. Playing tennis is just like any other sport in that training exercises must be performed daily, a good and proper diet must be followed and the player must get plenty of rest before and after the game.

There are all sorts of ways to prepare for the best game of tennis including practicing the game itself. A minimum of two hours of practice each day is recommended followed by running, swimming, jogging, or using exercise equipment to make sure that the muscles don’t get stiff or harden on court.

Many tennis players get what is called a muscle spasm which takes them out of the game too soon. This comes from either over exertion, too little preparation or too much prior activity before the game.

Staying fit and ready is the best possible way to play any game. More importantly, taking the coaches or trainers advice before and after a game can make the game itself the best one of all. Just a little preparation now goes a long way later and can make the difference in making tennis a career game or a just a hobby.
